What separates Cypress IOP from every other intensive outpatient program is that our team of addiction therapists are driven and guided by a comprehensive clinical model, which guides and directs all aspects of the treatment process.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment
To effectively treat substance use and mental health disorders we utilize a graduated intensive outpatient framework, which means our clients receive 10 hours of treatment per week during the initial phase of treatment.
Intensive Outpatient treatment can be a highly effective treatment approach, as it allows for our client to maintain healthier and necessary aspects of their life while participating in a comprehensive treatment program that assists them in overcoming their substance abuse problems.
Addiction plays itself out in our behaviors, decisions, and relationships. The intensive outpatient framework allows our clients to develop skills to change their substance use in a supportive setting, and then to practice and integrate those skills in their daily lives outside of treatment. Our experienced addiction counselors then process those experiences with them in order to help them understand what is working and what isn’t, and to overcome identified barriers thus giving them the best chance of achieving long term change from their substance abuse.
Intensive outpatient treatment consists primarily of group therapy, with weekly individual therapy sessions as well.
In group therapy, our clinical curriculum is introduced and processed. Our counselors will take time with our clients to ensure there is understanding and acceptance of the clinical material. Extensive processing will take place to assist clients in working through doubts, concerns, and confusion until we feel they are ready to move on.
Individual therapy sessions are used to process and explore deeper issues which clients may not feel comfortable discussing in a group setting. Individual therapy also allows us to focus on unique personal issues and work toward their resolution in a supportive one-on-one setting. Weekly individual therapy allows our clinical team to closely monitor and track client progress and internalization of the core concepts of our clinical model, which is necessary to succeed in overcoming addiction and mental health related problems.
